All students who have received EMA this year and will not be 19 before 1/9/10 are guaranteed to receive EMA next year (10/11). You will receive a letter called a "continuing letter of entitlement" shortly to confirm this and that the EMA payments will be at the same level as last year. No one needs to re-apply for EMA unless your family situation has changed. By the end of August everyone should have received an EMA Agreement - this needs to be brought into the SIC at college after induction and when lessons start.
If you have changed address or not received an EMA Agreement please call EMA on 0800 121 8989.
If you are 19 before September 2010 you can apply for the Adult Learning Grant. We have a limited number of applications in college or you can apply on line. |
